Pedestrian dies after being hit by car

A woman in her 20s has died after being hit by a car in Dublin on Saturday night.

Gardaí (Irish police) said they responded at about 23:50 local time after a pedestrian was struck by a car on the N11 Bray Road, Loughlinstown.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner has been notified and the scene is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
