Another storm has hit the Iberian Peninsula as Spain struggles to cope with the damage caused by the previous storm, Nils.
Storm Oriana is bringing torrential rain and strong wind gusts, with dangerous weather warnings in place across much of Spain.
In the eastern province of Castellón, a maximum red alert has been issued as Storm Oriana sweeps through the region with “hurricane-force” winds, which could uproot trees, flood roads, and leave thousands of people without power.
The previous storm has so far killed three people in France and Spain. Dozens of people have been injured in weather-related accidents, and a viaduct has partially collapsed due to flooding on the A1 motorway between Lisbon and Porto in Portugal.
In southwest France, rivers in several municipalities have flooded due to heavy rainfall from the previous storm. A flood alert remains in place along the Garonne River for the weekend.
